Founded in 1991 under the wings of Plano's Grace Presbyterian Church, Plano Children's Theatre has served more than 900,000 people through its classes, workshops and performances. Its mission is to help prepare youth for adulthood by providing arts opportunites which promote scholarly pursuit, team work, discipline, integrity, creativity and communication skills.

Our students, ages 5-18, come from all over the North Texas area for our after school and summer classes (ages 4+), professional children's theatre program, free workshops, performances, and therapeutic drama for special needs.
In 2005, the City of McKinney awarded Plano Children's Theatre a grant to offer programming in McKinney. McKinney Youth Theatre, a d.b.a. of Plano Children's Theatre, offers programs at Heard Craig Hall, McKinney Performing Arts Center, area schools and Old Settler's Recreation Center.
