The Hart family: Geoffrey, Christy, and Rebekah and their two young foster children were killed in an automobile accident on Sunday, June 22. They were returning from church when a car ran a red light at Custer and Legacy.

Rebekah had been long time student at Plano Children’s Theatre since elementary. She  performed as a narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and was Liesl in Sound of Music this past year. She worked closely with her voice teacher, Cassidy Crown, to develop her voice. In addition, Rebekah always volunteered at set builds and was scheduled to intern at PCT this summer. She had many interests including Girl Scouts and animals. Rebekah was the kind of daughter you wish you had.

Geoffrey and Christy were always avid PCT volunteers serving as ticket mom for High School Musical (a harrowing experience) and Geoffrey brought a group of volunteers from Custer Road Methodist Church to a set build. This spring, they welcomed two sweet young foster children, Kevinnisha Palmer and Raven Lucas and both had been awarded scholarships to attend our summer program. In addition to their full time jobs, Geoffrey and Christy were missionaries for Custer Road Methodist Church and often provided a home for other foster children. They were the kind of parents who we wish we could all be.
